Why this exists.
Pre-launch, building with design partners.
Why the file, and not the workflow
Most compliance software describes a process. What a regulator, a bank or a buyer's counsel actually asks for is a file: who was checked, by whom, on what date, against which list, and what the firm decided. That file is usually assembled at the end, out of email and folders, under time pressure, by the person who can least spare it.
Setora starts from the file. The record exists from the moment a client file is opened, and each step writes to it as it happens rather than being reconstructed afterwards. The firm keeps the client, the obligation and the decision. The software's job is to make the evidence of that work producible on demand.
Setora
Arabic وسيلة — the means, the instrument, the thing through which something is reached.
It is the right word for infrastructure because it is honest about the role. Setora is not the destination. A brokerage does not want a compliance platform; it wants a closed deal and a clean file. Setora is how it gets both.
You focus on the outcome. Setora is the path.
Three things we hold ourselves to
We publish the perimeter
What the software is, and what it is not, is set out on the trust page in the same words the site serves to answer engines. It is not buried in terms.
The firm stays the regulated party
Setora supplies software. The customer holds its own licences, its own provider relationships and its own obligations, and makes its own decisions against its own thresholds.
Evidence over assertion
Every claim on this site that rests on a figure names its source and its date. Where we could not source a figure, the figure is not here.
The people building it
A payments and compliance operator, a product lead and an enterprise architect. Between them they have built the thing this software automates, by hand, on real transactions.
Justin Kirk
Payments and compliance. Founded and scaled a business in Australia before exiting it. Built his fintech career in cross-border payments as a director of sales, across global banking, multi-currency accounts, FX, digital assets and on- and off-ramping — including payment solutions built specifically for Dubai real estate, and the bank and regulated-provider relationships that go with them.
Jack Deakin
Product, platform and pipeline. Experience across digital assets, technology and product development, including crypto operations at scale. At UST, a global technology company, he worked in enterprise technology, platform and digital product development. He leads digital strategy and product, and turns the compliance and payments requirements into the platform.
Sri Udupi
Two decades leading large-scale technology delivery across UK payments, fintech and complex enterprise environments, most recently as Director of Enterprise Architecture at UST. Programme architect on multi-year transformation programmes, and hands-on with the AI engineering toolchain, advising on production readiness, governance and architecture.
